Ronan Barrett – Managing Director

Ronan is the principal behind CastleStar. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the business as well as taking a “hands-on” role in all aspects of the business including the identification of opportunities, property selection, problem solving, and project oversight and delivery. Ronan is a “deal maker and problem solver” who is highly experienced in the property finance and development sector with c. 20 years of experience in the Irish and UK markets. He studied Law at Queens University Belfast and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor having trained and worked with Andersen and KPMG. He also has a strong background in Corporate Finance and in Banking and Finance having worked with Bank of Ireland.

Vincent O’Farrell – Operations Director

Vincent, a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor by background, has an established track record in quantity surveying, project management and real estate development. Vincent is centrally involved in the project management, financing and overall development management of each project.

Aidan Murphy – Finance Director

Aidan is responsible for the group financial management, accounting, reporting and compliance together with project financing, transaction support and investor relations. He has over 10 years’ experience across a range of finance roles within family office, private equity, banking and accountancy practice environments with a particular focus on property. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Masters in Real Estate and is a qualified Chartered Accountant having trained and worked with Mazars and Deloitte.

Loretta Meehan – Office Manager and Financial Accountant

Loretta is a qualified IATI accounts professional with over 18 years of experience. She is responsible for facilitating the efficient functioning of our office via a range of administrative, clerical, financial and managerial tasks.

Andrea Szep – Accountant (PQ)

Andrea is a qualified accounting technician and part-qualified accountant with responsibility for the support of the Finance function of the business, to include the preparation and processing of invoices, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and budget documents, and other routine finance functions. Andrea has over 10 years’ experience across, including roles in an accountancy practice and a private property development company.

Thomas Tobin – Accounting Trainee

Thomas is a trainee accountant assisting senior members of the finance team, assisting with the processing of invoices, accounts payable and receivable and other project-based tasks. He is currently completing his professional accounting qualification and holds a Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting and Finance.
